FAQ

Do you accept insurance?

At this time, insurance does not cover functional medicine services. HOWEVER, you may be able to submit your invoice(s) for services and testing to your insurance company or HSA/FSA for reimbursement.

What happens if I choose to get lab work or nutritional testing?

The lab collection will take place at a mutually agreed upon location or a testing kit will be directly sent to you. Once the results are available, we will meet to discuss them. At that time, your practitioner will complete a comprehensive physical exam, including your vital signs, weight, physical measurements, and collect any other pertinent information regarding your health status and goals. Then we will collaborate and come up with a plan of action UNIQUE TO YOU!

Can I afford the cost of treatment?

The quick answer is you can't afford NOT to invest in your health and well-being. Should you decide to work with us, there are payment plans for packages and you can choose a monthly subscription as another affordable option. Please note that testing fees and individual evaluation fees ARE 100% APPLIED PACKAGES if you decide to take that route toward your new path to wellness. You MAY even SAVE money because your body will begin to function as it is meant to, meaning less ailments requiring your time, money, and more visits to the doc.

How is your approach different than the approach my other doctor(s) have tried in the past?

BOTH!! We are happy to offer virtual options for appointments as well as in-person appointments. We want you to be well and offer flexibility that is convenient for your schedule. If the calendar does not offer appointment options that suit your needs, please reach out to Jessica so she can work with you to find a time that is convenient for you and get you feeling your best! There are online classes and programs coming soon!

Why do I need to work with Wellness Matters Livingston County?

If you are like so many patient's we see in the hospital, you are HIGHLY LIKELY to have chronic inflammation, toxicities, and deficiencies. Why do these need to be addressed? Because THESE ARE THE THINGS MAKING YOU SICK! Allopathic providers are not trained in root-cause approaches. I know this, because I have completed YEARS of allopathic training. I am not saying my previous education is useless, it's DIFFERENT. Functional medicine training focuses on the intricate balance your body needs to function starting at the cellular level. We don't focus on treating your symptoms and then claim you are, "healthy" when the symptoms improve... because they WILL COME BACK if you don't figure out what caused them to begin with and eliminate the problem.

At Wellness Matters, you have the opportunity to work with a practitioner whose main goal is to get people physically, emotionally, and mentally well and who has years of experience working with patient's during critical stages of illness. We are excited to expand our focus of care into the community with the goal of PREVENTING those acute care visits, surgeries, endless prescriptions, and lack of answers as to what is really wrong. Our goal is to get you well and if we don't think we can help you do that, we will find someone who can.
